Our Hiring Process
- Stage 1
Applied
The application stage is your first step in joining us. You’ll complete our online application form, upload your CV (and a cover letter if requested), and answer a small number of role-specific questions that help us understand your skills, experience and motivation. You can also let us know about any adjustments you may need so we can support you throughout the process. Once submitted, we’ll acknowledge your application by email and review it fairly against the job criteria using a consistent scoring framework. After the closing date, we assess all applications and aim to update you within the stated timeframe to confirm whether you have been shortlisted. We keep all applicant information secure and confidential, and if you’re not shortlisted, we’ll let you know by email.
- Stage 2
1st Round of Interviews
If you are shortlisted, you’ll be invited to a first-round interview, usually held online. This stage helps us learn more about your experience, skills and motivation, and gives you a chance to ask questions about the role and our organisation. The interview panel will use a structured set of questions linked to the job criteria to ensure a fair and consistent assessment for every candidate. We’ll let you know what to expect in advance, including any tasks or preparation required. After the interview, the panel will score all responses and we’ll contact you within the stated timeframe to confirm whether you’ll be progressing to the next stage.
- Stage 3
2nd Round of Interviews
If you progress to the second round, you’ll meet with a small panel—often including senior leaders or future colleagues—for a more in-depth discussion about your experience, approach and alignment with the role. This stage may include a presentation or task, which we’ll share with you in advance, as well as questions that explore your strategic thinking, problem-solving and values. The panel will assess all candidates using a consistent scoring framework, and once all interviews are completed, we’ll contact you within the stated timeframe to let you know the outcome and discuss next steps.
- Stage 4
Offer
If you are the preferred candidate, we will first send you a conditional offer of employment outlining the key terms of the role, including salary, benefits and proposed start date. This offer is conditional upon the successful completion of right to work checks and employment reference checks. Along with the offer letter, we will ask you to provide the required documentation and the contact details of your referees. Once these checks are completed satisfactorily, we will issue your final contract and proceed with onboarding.
- Stage 5
Employemnt Reference Checks
After you receive your conditional offer, we will begin employment reference checks using the referee details you provide—usually your current or most recent line manager and another professional contact. We will only contact referees with your permission. These checks help us verify your employment history, experience and suitability for the role. The reference process runs alongside right to work checks, and your offer remains conditional until both are successfully completed.
- Stage 6
Right to Work Checks
Following your conditional offer, we must confirm that you have the legal right to work in the country where the role is based. We will request the necessary documentation—such as a passport, visa or other proof of immigration status—and provide clear instructions on how to submit it. These checks are carried out securely and in line with legal requirements. Right to work checks take place at the same time as employment reference checks, and your offer will only be finalised once both checks are satisfactorily completed.
- Stage 7
Hired
Once all checks are completed and your contract is signed, you are officially hired. We will stay in touch to help you prepare for your first day, share any onboarding information you need, and introduce you to key contacts within your team. Your manager will outline what to expect during your induction, including training, organisational briefings and opportunities to learn more about our work and culture. We look forward to welcoming you and supporting you as you begin your journey with us.
